2006 MID-SOUTH REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA

NOVEMBER 24-25, 2006

            The 2006 Mid-South Regional Championships will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 24-25, 2006, hosted by the Pop Warner Little Panthers and the Mecklenburg Optimist Club (its HLA). 

            The Cheer Competition will be held on Friday, November 24, 2006 at Halton Arena (UNCC), beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Doors will open at 8:00 a.m.

            The Football Games will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Charlotte's Memorial Stadium, Johnson C. Smith University, East Mecklenburg High School and Myers Park High School, beginning at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. 

            The schedules for all games and cheer performances will be set by the Regional Management Team.  Admission for the events is $10.00 per day.  Parking is free.  Players and cheerleaders in Pop Warner jerseys/uniforms will be admitted free.

            The Pop Warner Little Panthers are working diligently to make these events a huge success.  Most of the participants will be housed in major hotels located in the Center City of Charlotte.  All hotel rooms are $89.00, plus tax, per night. 

            In addition to the competition, there are other events in which football teams and cheer squads may decide to participate. The Pop Warner Little Panthers are making arrangements with the Carolina Panthers for tours of Bank of America Stadium.  The Pop Warner Little Panthers are also working with the Charlotte Bobcats and have made arrangements for tickets to be available for those who would like to attend the Charlotte Bobcats vs. NBA Champion Miami Heat game on Saturday, November 25th, at a cost of only $20.00 per person.
